Brixwel AAC Blocks

AAC is the acronym for Autoclaved Aerated Concrete .They are formed from common resources like Fly Ash, Lime, cement, Aluminium, Gypsum and water, along with a slight expanse of rising agent. The characteristics of great load-support, light in weight, high on insulation, make them a strong component in building merchandise which are manufactured in various sizes and strengths.

  • AAC blocks are certified green building material & the favorite building material of the construction industry. The AAC block weighs only about 50% of a standard concrete block. Therefore AAC blocks are extremely light weight & saves 30% of construction cost in steel, Cement, Sand & Labour.

  • Aluminium powder along with flyash, cement, lime and gypsum is mixed in high speed and Automatic batch mixer resulting in AAC slurry, with is poured in to mould. Reaction of Aluminum with lime, water, silica releases hydrogen gas (H2) when escapes from slurry, it rises to give porous structured to calcium silica Hydrate ( C-S-H, Concrete.) This risen cake is cut in to blocks of require sizes by wire cutting machine, which are again steam cured under high temperature 210*C and pressure 12kg. In autoclave for 10 to 12 hours. AAC is a long proven material. AAC blocks are used in a wide range of Commercial, industrial and Residential application and has been in use in Europe over 19 Years, the Middle East for the past 40 Years and in America and Australia for 25 Years. Its an estimate that AAC now account for over 40% of all construction in UK and more than 60% of construction in Germany. In India production of AAC blocks started in 1972.

    Why AAC Blocks

Experts from Former President APJ Abdul Kalam’s address the nation on the eve of the Country’s 56th Republic Day January 25th ,2005, “Conversion of Flyash as a Wealth Generator”.

As you are aware, the use of coal for power generation results in an increased quantum of Flyash production. All our efforts are needed to utilize this Flyash not only from environmental considerations, but also to avoid land usage for flyash dumping….. Flyash can become a wealth generator by making use of it for producing“ Green Building Materials” i.e. FLYASH BRICKS,BLOCKS etc…

    AAC Blocks

Autoclaved Aerated Bricks is a high quality product imported from IRAN. It is manufactured by fully automated state-of-the-art technology. Our plant’s production capacity 1000 cbm per day, we are fully committed to meet the growing market demand of AAC blocks. Thereby, providing International quality product at an affordable cost that meets complete customer satisfaction.

AAC Blocks is a lightweight masonry building materials suitable for use in the construction of all types of residential and commercial buildings. Through our eco-friendly and energy conserving materials, we have been contributing our share in sustainable healthy building practices.

AAC Blocks are high in quality and low in price. These blocks are resistant to water absorption and increases in strength over time while greatly reducing the cost of plastering.

In the last few years, AAC Blocks has become the solution of choice for all leading builders especially in Mumbai, Pune, and is now starting to cash on with Developers in other cites like Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai and Delhi. Many builders such as L & T, ITC, Godrej Properties, Reliance, HCL, Medicity, WIPRO, Apollo Hospitals, OBEROI, Merto Rail Corporation… to name a few have adopted this product of construction for a majority their projects for this sheer convenience over traditional construction and aesthetic appeal. The Arathi Itech panels Industries, of Brixwel AAC Blocks is a top coming from which has a great background and they have the potential to supply the product up to our demand.

    Advantages Of AAC Blocks

AAC Blocks are ideal for all kind of structures such as Schools, Hospitals, Hotels, Offices, Independent Housing, apartments etc…, due to the following advantages.

    Lightweight & Long Lasting:

Density of AAC Blocks ranges between 550-700kg/m3 making them lighter than water. AAC Blocks are resilient to water damage as compared to any other construction material. They can even with stand myriad climatic conditions, this in turn gives you increased value for your investment.

    Workability

greenAAC blocks can be easily cut, drilled and grooved with manual or power tools. This provides higher productivity in hydro-sanitary and electrical installations such as pipes or ducts which can be placed after the structure has been built.

    Faster Construction & Cost Saving

AAC Blocks requires lesser number of joints and light weight, which result in faster construction and saving joining material, time and labour. Being 8 times the size of clay brick, AAC wall construction involves 1/3rd the joints, thus an overall mortar saving up to 66% and this in turn will bring about significant savings in steel i.e. up to 25% and concrete up to 10 %.

    Perfect Size and Surface Finish

Constant and Consistent dimensions. Internal walls can be finished by direct POP, thus eliminating the need of plastering.

    High Thermal Insulation

Helps maintain inner temperature of building to be warm during the winter and cool during the summer which ultimately leads to savings in air conditioning loads.

    Superior Fire Resistance

Depending upon thickness, AAC offers fire resistance for about 2 to 6 hours. The melting point of AAC is over 1600*C , more than twice the typical temperature in building fire of 650*C.

    Weather & Earthquake Resistant

The impact of earthquake forces on a structure is proportional to the weight of the structure. Being light weight and long-lasting, AAC Blocks provide excellent resistance to earthquake forces.

    Water & Moisture Resistance

The structure does not allow for capillary action making it impervious to water. Its water resistance properties are further enhanced by adding silicon based additives. AAC possesses excellent structural integrity, resisting moisture penetration, whether caused by wind-driven rain or standing water. Additional moisture resistance is achieved with a final surface treatment such as plaster and paint, or cladding such as bricks and /or other exterior materials.

    Environment Friendly

Energy consumed in the production process of AAC is only a fraction compared to the production of other building material. The manufacturing process emits no pollutants and creates no by-products or toxic waste products. AAC is manufactured from natural raw material. The finished product is thrice the volume of the raw material used, making it extremely resource-efficient and environment friendly.

    Disadvantages of AAC Blocks

Projects far from manufacturing facilities will suffer from higher initial costs.
Contractors are less familiar with the product.
    Skilled labours are required.

How AAC Blocks Save The Cost Of Construction

    Save steel and Concrete

AAC blocks save Steel, Concrete, Sand, Internal Plaster, Curing and reduce the thickness of External Plaster. It is 3 times lighter than Clay bricks, hence it saves steel and concrete in high rise building. It does not allow water to pass in to the wall, so internal sand cement plaster is not necessary, only POP plaster is enough.

    Save Sand and Water

AAC blocks require only 3 mm joint for using readymade joint adhesive. So it saves costly sand. Brixwel blocks already have high pressure steam curing. So there is no need of curing. Thus it saves water and curing labour cost etc.

    Increase in carpet Area

Wall made by AAC blocks has accurate size and shape, less number of joints and thickness. Hence it saves 15 to 20 mm space of plaster through out length of every wall of room. So increase in carpet area by 1.5 to 3%. It also has more compressive strength than clay bricks and does not absorb the water so no need to plaster the wall from inside by sand and cement.

Time Saving and Reduced man power

AAC blocks are light weight (3 times ) and 5 to 6 times bigger in size than clay bricks. So it reduces the number of joints and its thickness and ultimately saves time as compare to clay bricks. Its needs less man power to constrict a building which in turn helps to reduce the construction cost.
